Letter to Santa Claus
The last book in our December reading focus of the English lessons in class 1a and 1b was "Bear stays up for Christmas".
In a picturesque snowy Christmas world, a bear, a hare, a mouse, a mole, a gopher, a wren, a badger, and a raven are best friends. Bear sleeps right through Christmas every year. But this year, his friends determine he must stay up! They keep him busy throughout the day with Christmas preparations. On Christmas Eve, when all of his friends fall asleep, bear stays up all night making Christmas gifts for the others. Bear and his friends share their gifts, and then bear falls asleep.
“Bear stays up for Christmas” is an enchanting holiday story for young and old. Jane Chapman's beautiful illustrations give even more life to bear and his woodland friends.

After the pupils had read the story, they decided to write a letter with their very own Christmas wishes to Santa Claus and place it in his mailbox at the North Pole.
His response to the pupils indicates how much he appreciated their letters.
