Reading Skills

In addition to the two reading boxes available in each class, which allow pupils to read English books throughout the year, we have focused on reading skills in the first term. Various books were read together in class, as well as indepentendtly studied, or explored further at home. Digital exercises supplemented the reading programme, as well as practical work and craft instructions.

From "Winnie the Witch" to "The Koala Who Could", the selection was very diverse. A focus in the first term was the book series "Pete the Cat". With countless titles in this series, there is almost always a corresponding, age-appropriate book for every lesson topic.

The completion of this book series was a classic of children's books and songs - "Old MacDonald Had a Farm." What could be more natural than recording the song itself? Although not every note may have been hit perfectly, the enthusiasm for singing was great.
