In our recent English classes, the focus has been on animals: Pets, farm animals, books featuring animals, and even songs celebrating them.

On Australia Day, January 26th, we embarked on a virtual journey into the realm of Australian animals. If you're interested in learning more about these characteristic creatures of the country, the following video offers a comprehensive overview, including basic information about each animal. Additionally, at the end of the video, there's a quiz for you to test your knowledge.

For our English lessons, we decided to spotlight the koala. The pupils created lovely "Newspaper-Koalas" and, in another activity, made "Handprint-Koalas".

This time we chose "THE KOALA WHO COULD" by Rachel Bright and Jim Field as our reading focus. In this delightful picture book Kevin the Koala discovers that sometimes change comes along whether we like it or not. But if you let it, change can be the making of you.

To enhance our enjoyment, we paired this reading session with a fitting literary snack.

Stay tuned for our next culinary-literary adventure.
